The Open Agent Jobs Initiative
OAJI is an industry coalition that supports the adoption of open standards for agent-accessible job data. The Open Job Context Protocol (OJCP) is the first such standard, governed independently by its own steering committee.
Why This Matters
The hiring ecosystem needs a shared protocol
AI agents are rapidly changing how people find and apply to jobs. Today, every job board, ATS, and employer exposes job data differently — forcing agent developers to build custom integrations for each source. OAJI is the coalition working to solve this; OJCP is the technical specification that does it. Any provider can implement OJCP, and any agent can consume it.

How OAJI operates
Open Governance
OJCP is governed by a 7-seat steering committee representing distinct ecosystem segments via an RFC process. No single company has veto power. Pre-v1.0 we commit to transferring infrastructure to a neutral foundation.
Multi-Stakeholder Coalition
OAJI brings together enterprise employers, ATS vendors, job boards, staffing agencies, and AI agent platforms to coordinate adoption and shape ecosystem priorities. Credibility comes from the breadth of the coalition, not the size of any one member.
Agent-First Future
AI agents are becoming the primary way candidates discover and apply to jobs. OAJI exists to ensure this transition happens on open rails — not inside walled gardens controlled by a single platform.
Interoperable by Default
An agent that supports OJCP gets every compliant provider. A proprietary API gets one vendor's customer base. Open standards win because they reduce integration cost to zero.
